Lone Star Tick

 Lone star ticks are reported less often than other ticks, but they can still be encountered after outdoor exposure. They’re aggressive biters and can attach quickly. People usually pick them up in brushy areas and tall grasses. Because they can be mistaken for other species, identification matters. When ticks show up repeatedly, yard-focused prevention is the safest step.
