Blacklegged Tick (Deer Tick)

Blacklegged ticks are one of the most important ticks to watch for because they’re associated with Lyme disease risk areas. They’re small and can be hard to spot, especially in early life stages. They often latch on after walks through tall grass, brush, or leaf litter. Pets can also bring them indoors. Reducing tick habitat and using proper yard control helps lower exposure.
